TEACH YOUR HORSE TO BE CURIOUS

AND REDUCE THE SPOOKING
&
ANXIETY!

teaching curiousity

the best way to build confidence?

Imgaine this:

You are out on a trail ride, or at a competition, and having a lovely day, when without notice, you are having an argument with your horse over a puddle, a flag, or possibly the mere fact that the wind changed direction.

In your mind, you wish your horse would just settle down and get on with the job.

In your horses mind, he thinks he is about to be eaten alive.

(Cue face palm now).

Now, imagine if you knew a way to giving your horse the confidence to investigate the scary monsters instead of trying to bolt from them.

Imagine what riding would be like then.

That’s why Equestrian Movement has released its latest course, Teaching Curiosity.

  • Get a confident horse that spooks less frequently and less severely, without creating a shutdown horse;
  • Discover how you can show your horse how to respond safely and confidently to new scenarios, without the argument or tearing your arm from the socket;
  • Regain your confidence to work and ride your horse in less familiar places (and even some of the familiar ones!);
  • Stop fighting against your horse and continue those steps of a strong connection.

teaching curiosity will get you results

And those results wont be at the detriment of your horse or it’s unique character.

If you:

  • want to develop a ‘safe’ horse

  • regularly experience spooks or shies when riding

  • have a new or green horse that you are looking to train up

  • want to create a better bond with your horse

  • want to learn more about ethical horse training that benefits both horse and human mentally and emotionally

Then this course if for you!

is this you?

Lost confidence

Perhaps you have been injured, or perhaps it’s because you have tried so hard and you don’t see any differences. Teaching Curiosity wont just help your horse develop confidence in itself, it will help you regain yours - which will help your horse build more confidence in you!

Feeling frustrated

It can be frustrating when you have a horse that just doesn’t seem to be able to relax. This course will take you through the steps to help your horse build that relaxation - first in a safe place, and then help you increase the challenge in new scenarios without over-facing them.

Afraid to ride

Being afraid or uncomfortable to ride isn’t uncommon - we want horses that will look after us when we are in that vulnerable position, not ditch us at the first chance they have to survive. But horse’s don’t know this from birth, we have to give them and ourselves the tools to develop confidence and only then will they be able to look after us in the saddle.

Unworthy of your horse

Feeling as if you have failed is really disheartening and can make us feel like giving up altogether. Teaching Curiosity gives you simple tools and a set out plan to reduce the spooking, startling and bolting. And because they are so simple, your horse can’t help but become confident in you through the process of building their own confidence - and THAT is why you are worthy!

Frequently Asked QuestionS

WHAT PAYMENT OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?

We accept all major credit cards and Paypal.

I’M PRETTY TIME POOR WHEN IT COMES TO WORKING WITH MY HORSE. HOW MUCH ADDITIONAL TIME WILL THIS PROCESS TAKE?

That is a tricky one to answer solidly, as each horse is very different. But we often see horses catching onto the idea of confidence very quickly and embrassing you as their confident leader. It took Katie only 2 sessions to teach Phoenix, who couldn’t be caught, how to be confident around the super terrifying Ella the Pig (his paddock sister).

However, if your horse is very nervous or distrusting, this process may take some time. We want you to move at a pace that is of benefit to your horse, not to the end goal, so we won’t give a solid timeframe.

The theory you should be able to get through in a short period of time - no more than 3-4 hours in total including the demonstration videos.

I’M INTERESTED IN PURCHASING BUT DON’T HAVE THE TIME TO IMPLEMENT IT NOW - CAN I STILL JOIN?

Sure! Outside of the initial induction period, which should take around 1 hour via video link, you can work the program at a pace that suits both yourself and your horse - even if that means you don’t start for a few weeks.

Just remember to cycle back when you have a moment, have a good read, and start implementing some small changes in your paddock. Honestly, more people wish they made the time to implement it straight away, as the time they save around undesirable behaviours far outweighs the initial time investment!
